George Winston Recommendations

Montana-raised pianist George Winston created the "rural-folk piano" sound in the early 1980s through his lyrical, mellifluous music that plays more like poetry for piano than traditional compositions. Characteristically introspective, Winston cites the natural world as his main influence, and this is well reflected in his at-once urgent, at-once pastoral, impressionistic instrumentals.
